Support
Individual support is available to students for a variety of reasons.
- Assessment
- Timetable adaptation
- Reading lessons
- Mathematics if curriculum level 1 or 2
- Spelling
- English for students with English as a second language
- Coordination of exam support
Enhancement
Identification of gifted students is co-ordinated within this centre. Enhancement experiences are provided during Years 9 and 10. Learning programmes are adapted when and as necessary for these learners. Social skills are explicitly taught to high achieving students who having difficulty relating to others by our councillors. In particular, a resilience programme that addresses high anxiety, is taught in a one on one or small group situation. Accelerated learning, junior diploma and high expectations pervade the whole school.
